I have been detoxing for over 2 weeks and the headaches and fatigue are really interfering with day to day stuff. I'm just sooo tired and the headaches make is very hard to concentrate on anything. I have backed off on the dosages, it helps a little.
Is this common?
thanks everyone

I just started my second round 2 days ago and wow, did I get a headache today. It was right at the front of my forehead, kind of like when you get dehydrated. I did take a couple of Advil and it alleviated it. I rarely get headaches and I could not attribute it to anything else but the chelation.

It is very common, especially with candida die off.
It is important to drink extra water during chelation, and to drink a full cup of water when you take ALA or DMSA. Since much of the mercury is excreted in the bile, it is also important to avoid constipation while chelating. Eating extra soluble fiber helps, as it not only prevents constipation(which is very common for people with mercury toxicity), but also allows less of the bile to be recycled, and therefore less mercury to be reabsorbed.

I used to get headaches while chelating. Decrease the dosages you use if the headaches are bad. If they are mild, then just grin and bear it. Headaches probably mean plenty of mercury is being mobilized from the brain.
Try to avoid using pain relievers, as these are somewhat toxic to the liver and the liver is already under enough stress.

Thanks everyone for your feedback, I have backed off on the dosage and did a little excerise followed up by a sauna and I feel much better today. A little head ache but not serious. Good news is that My Ulcertaive colitis has not been active at all during this and I have been more regular. SOOO I stopped taking the little bit of medication that I was talking, I figured it can't behelping me detox. That could be part of the reason i feel better today...who knows. Finger crossed this holds.... I also have some good qualtiy probiotics in mail as well. To help replenish the bacteria that get wiped out from all the mercury getting flushed out of me. FUN STUFF!

The best cure for constipation and other digestive disorders is organic unsweetened yogurt.
