Another campaign to limit what we are allowed to take. The workers at my local health food shop told me that vitamin C might only be sold in 100mg doses. I hope they are exaggerating. I take 9 grams a day in order to maintain some semblance of a normal life. If all my supplements were taken away but one, I would keep the vitamin C. Sheesh, there's so much of this nonsense around. Please feel free to join me in writing replies to this article in The Guardian, "Vitamin junkies are flushing their money down the toilet, says nutritionist" http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/blog/2009/sep/10/optimum-vitamin-dose-supplementsThe majority of posters so far have been criticising the article, but notice that the most rabidly skeptical reply is the one with the most "recommendations" so far. Bloody typical.
