Please link to this page with this simple URL:http://herballure.com/biblesorcerersIn a day when drug commercials dominate the advertising airwaves, it is interesting to note a biblical reference which emphasizes the consequences of using drugs:
Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.Revelation 22:14-15In this passage, the word 'sorcerers' comes from the greek word 'pharmakos' (Strongs # 5332) which is derrived from the greek word 'pharmakon' and is defined in Strong's Greek Dictionary of the New Testament as follows:
a druggist ("pharmacist") or poisonerConsidering the numerous passages about pharmaceutical drugs in the Bible, and considering the high numbers of
ADEs (adverse drug effects) and death which result, it's easy to understand why God seems to so dislike 'pharmakon'.
This chapter (22) is the final chapter of the Bible and the verse in which the word 'pharmakon' appears (15) is only seven (7) verses from the very end.
