Purpose and Agreement

This document explains how to report abuse on our forum entitled, "The Orbis Vitae Forum Complex". Reports of abuse will be investigated and action may be taken according to our Terms of Use and/or according to this agreement. This document is part of the Terms of Use for the forum system.

All users of this system agree that Orbis Vitae, its employees, officers, agents, and stockholders are not liable for damages of any kind or any manner of liability that results from the posting of information to this forum, or the removal of posts from this forum, or any other activities on or of this forum, its computer system, the software that drives this system, or the operators of this system. All users agree that Orbis Vitae, its employees, officers, agents, and stockholders are free from all liability connected with this forum in any and all cases whatsoever.

User Responsibility

Because of the volume of information that is posted on our system, we cannot monitor all or posts that are made available through this system. Therefore, we require users to report abuses of our Terms of Use.

What Is Abuse

A post may be considered abuse if it meets any of the following criteria:

  • It violates the Terms of Use Agreement.
  • It contains harmful or defamatory remarks about a person, product, service, or other entity.
  • It contains false or misleading information about a person, product, service, or other entity,

A post may or may not—at our sole discretion—be considered abuse if it contains critical but verifiable information about a person, product, service, or other entity. If a person chooses to post such critical information and can reasonably verify the facts related to this information, We may choose to allow the post to remain unchanged, or may require that the post be removed or edited in such a way that makes it comply.

We reserve the sole right to determine if a post is considered abuse, and to edit or delete any posts made to this system for any reason it deems fit.

How To Report Abuse

To report abuse on this forum, you should send an email to admin@orbisvitae.com. Abuse reports sent to any other email address will be discarded. Include the following information when reporting abuse:

  1. The post number of the offending post. This is vital, and if not included, the abuse report will be discarded. The post number is found directly below the title of the post and is proceeded with a pound sign (#) and is to the left of the post date.
  2. A working link to the post.
  3. The reason the post violates the Terms of Use:
    • If this relates to an event that is being misrepresented, please include:
      • the corrected facts of the event, and
      • your source of information.
    • If this relates to the reputation of a person or company or other entity that is being harmed in some way, please state:
      • what information is inaccurate,
      • how you know the information is inaccurate,
      • what information is accurate,
      • how you know this information is accurate, and
      • what your relationship with the entity in question is.
  4. The exact phrase in the post that is the cause for you reporting it.
  5. Your complete name.
  6. The state/province and country in which you reside.
  7. A working email address. If you don't have a working email address, you may supply a working phone number.
  8. Your "Screen Name" on the forum, if you have one.

Other Requirements For Filing An Abuse Claim

  • When reporting abuse, keep pertinent information short and concise. Reports with unreasonably long explanations may be ignored and/or discarded.
  • Send only a single email per abuse claim. Email messages containing more than one abuse claim may be ignored and/or discarded.
  • Flooding (quickly reporting a large number of) abuse reports without reasonable cause is grounds for banning and/or may cause us to discard the reports.
  • Users who falsely report abuse may be banned from the system or otherwise reported to authorities.

Content Liability

You accept that all messages posted to this system and all uploads made to this system are the sole opinion and responsibility of the poster. Orbis Vitaeis not responsible for the content posted by any user and you agree to hold Orbis Vitae, its stockholders, employees, officers, agents, and affiliates harmless and free from all liability associated with content displayed here.
